The water off Boynton Beach

Blue water starts at the inlet.

Palm Beach County sits closer to the Gulf Stream than almost anywhere on the East Coast. Out of Boynton Inlet you are trolling the edge in minutes, with reefs and wrecks on the way back.
  1. Angler with a mahi-mahi (dolphin) caught trolling offshore of Lake Worth, Florida

    The edge

Where the bottom drops away and the Gulf Stream pushes north: sailfish, mahi, wahoo, blackfin tuna and kingfish, on the troll or on live bait.

  2. Angler holding a wahoo caught offshore of Palm Beach County, Florida

    The reefs and wrecks

Mutton snapper, yellowtail, black grouper and amberjack on anchor or on the drift. Night trips for snapper when the season is right.

  3. Father and young child holding a mutton snapper aboard a Lake Worth fishing charter

    Inshore

Calm water inside the inlet for the three-hour trips: sharks, jacks and snapper, and a boat that isn't rolling.

  4. Two young anglers on the dock with the tuna they caught on a Boynton Beach charter

    The dock

Trips leave from the Harvey E. Oyer Jr. Park boat ramp in Boynton Beach. Nate cleans and fillets the catch on the way in, so you take dinner home.

“Captain Nate was so patient and attentive.”
