Hypoluxo Fishing Charters: Where We Leave From and What We Fish

If you are searching for a fishing charter in Hypoluxo, Lantana or Lake Worth Beach, here is the practical answer: Angle Drop Charters picks up at Harvey E. Oyer Jr. Park, 2010 N Federal Hwy in Boynton Beach, about ten minutes down Federal from Hypoluxo. Free parking, a public ramp on the Intracoastal, and the Boynton Inlet right across the water.

That inlet is the reason this stretch of Palm Beach County fishes the way it does. The Gulf Stream runs closer to shore here than almost anywhere else on the East Coast, so the run to deep water is short and more of your trip is spent fishing. Capt. Nate Knowlton has fished these waters for more than forty years and runs a private boat for up to six guests.

What we go after depends on the season: mahi, kingfish and blackfin tuna on the troll, mutton and yellowtail snapper and grouper on the bottom, and sailfish on live bait once the fronts start in late fall. Licence, bait, tackle and fish cleaning are included on every trip.

Trips on the menu right now: Half Day Offshore ($540), 3/4 Day Offshore ($720), Full Day Offshore ($950), Live Bait Sailfish ($600), a 3-hour Kids' Fishing Trip ($420) and shark trips. Prices are for the boat, not per person. See the trips page for what each one includes, or book a date online.
